BRO. CLEMENT “OSMOSIS’ OSIMETHA, ESQ
For GRAND COUNSELOR
Bro. Clement “Osmosis” Osimetha, Esq., has been officially endorsed by the Mighty Ninth District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., for the office of Grand Counselor. In the endorsement statement, the Ninth District Representative, Bro. Harold Bailey, said:
“Brothers, it is with great enthusiasm that I, on behalf of the Mighty Ninth District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., endorse Attorney Bro. Clement “Osmosis” Osimetha, Esq., to be our next Grand Counselor in Charlotte, NC, 2022. A product of the Mighty Ninth, Bro. Osimetha pledged in Spring 1988 at Mu Beta Chapter (Univ. of Texas, Arlington), Life Member 7621, and is currently a member of Theta Alpha Chapter, Dallas, Texas.”
Fraternally, Bro. Osimetha has served Omega at all levels of the Fraternity (the chapter, district, and international levels), including four years on the Supreme Counsel. He served in the trenches as our 31st 2nd-Vice Grand Basileus leading the undergraduate constituent at a critical juncture in our Fraternity’s history. He also Chaired the National Constitution and Bylaws Committee and was a member of the very first National Membership Intake Team.
According to Bro. Bailey, “Bro. Osimetha will be a tremendous asset to Omega as our Chief Legal Officer and will help move the Fraternity to the next level in the areas of compliance with our Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, and reducing risks. The vision he has for the Fraternity is exactly what Omega needs today.”
As an accomplished trial lawyer, business leader, and compliance practitioner, Bro. Osimetha’s vision for the Fraternity includes: • Defending and protecting the interest of Omega in all forums, including in court, in contract negotiations, on social media, and on eCommerce sites.
• Putting proactive and transparent COMPLIANCE measures in place to mitigate abuse of our brand and protecting our valuable brand, image, trademarks, and reputation against misuse.
• Taking proactive and diligent steps to reduce risks that could adversely impact the Fraternity’s interest, enhancing opportunities for our undergraduate constituent (the life blood of the Fraternity) to prosper, and promoting the Fraternity’s public policy initiatives designed to enhance our social and political wellbeing.
• Providing counsel and advice to the Supreme Council and the Grand Conclave to enhance our risk management decision making.
